Finale by Bea Paige

Finale, (Academy of Stardom)

Blurb:

From the gutter to the stars... Dance has always been the answer to everything. It soothed my soul, kept me sane, gave me purpose. It brought the Breakers back to me. It healed us. This time dance isn’t enough. It’s time to face our enemies. It’s time I fight back. But at what cost? My soul? The death of everyone I care about? All I can be certain of is this... I’m willing to do anything to protect the people I love. Even becoming a monster. This time there'll be no rehearsals, just our grand finale. I pray it won’t be our last. **Finale is book 4 of 4 in this new, gritty, contemporary reverse harem academy romance for 17+ readers. It deals with adult themes and some subjects you may find upsetting. If you love dance, your men on the criminal side, alpha hot holes, and the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope, this is for you. Contains foul language, sexual scenes and of course a HEA. For some of the characters at least.**

Completed Series:

Since this is the final book in the Academy of Stardom series (and all my other reviews for this series are on another blog site lol) let me just take a second to talk about the series as a whole. For one, the covers for these books have been amazing. Absolutely beautiful work that grabs your attention and makes you want to read the book. Like literally for me. I was scrolling through FB back when Freestyle was first being introduced and I saw the cover. I knew then and there that I HAD to read the book. Then there is the dance. If you've read anything I've written before you know I love to watch dance. This series taught me that I  love to read about it as well. The way Bea describes the scenes and brings out the emotions is fantastic. That's why I love to watch dance so much, b/c you feel what they feel. Never would have thought reading about it would do the same but Bea has accomplished that. The characters in this series you can't help but to love. I mean, you kinda hated some of them at the beginning lol but you did love them too.

Now let's skip to this fourth and final book. Finale. What a perfect name. Pen and the guys have been on one heck of a journey. They are finally all together in their relationship and that comes with its own real world problems. But being that this is the last book, we have to face the demons that have been plaguing us from the beginning. I'm not going to go into the actual story too much b/c spoilers. There were some twists I didn't see coming though. The book was filled with emotion, action, angst, some hella sexy times and some truly heartbreaking moments. We get to spend some more time with Pen and Lena and oh man, my heart. Pen is such a strong character, even when she's breaking apart on the inside. Then we have that ending. Grab the tissues b/c it's going to get intense.

I'm going to miss these characters but I have a feeling we will be seeing them again in the future. One thing about Bea, she loves to intertwine her worlds in some way or another. And I love that she does. So if you haven't picked up the first book in this series yet, you need to grab it up now. Beautiful series. Well done.

Taking a Break

Taking a break Hello! I randomly decided to come on here today and it looks like someone actually does visit this site on occasion. I feel like I owe it to you to let you know that I won't be posting any new reviews for a while. I've been really burnt out on reading for a while now and while I do still read every now and again, I just don't have the same passion about it. When I write a review for the blog, I feel it has to be more in depth and informative and I just don't have that in me right now. Also, the book world just disappoints me sometimes and I don't feel like I'm in the head space to give it my all. Anywho, if you are reading this, thank you for being around and supporting me for however long you've been here. I appreciate you. Maybe one day I will get back into it and start reading and reviewing again. In the meantime, I do still review the books I read on Amazon and Goodreads .

Merciless Spy by Heather Long

Merciless Spy, (82 Street Vandals) Heather Long ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon / Goodreads Blurb: The fierce twin. The dark brother. The wild one. I don’t give a damn about labels. I never have. Not when it comes to me. But stay the hell away from my brothers. All of them. I’ve sacrificed a lot for them, and I’m more than willing to give a lot more. If my blood, sweat, tears, and life were needed, I’d give it all up. Every damn drop. For my brothers, there was nothing I wouldn’t lose. Until her. Reckless, ferocious, and seemingly born to match me in temperament and spirit, Hellspawn is not the fragile flower they all think she is. I don’t think she ever has been. She will not be left behind, she will not hide, and she will not take the crap that life has been throwing at her. She’s saved our lives, defended us, fought for us, and sacrificed herself for us. I have no questions about what she would do if they tried to leverage us against her. This is why I won’t allow anyone to put her to t...
