My husband hates me. But he's also the only man who can save me.

Taken by a stranger, Santiago is my only hope. Except that I don't know if he's dead of alive. And for as cruel as he can be, the thought he might be gone is unbearable.

But he has nine lives, my  monster.
He's not finished with me yet. And soon I'm back at The Manor. Locked in my room. At his mercy.

I know I am despised.
I know I have become the face of his vengeance.

But there's something else too. Something between us. It's a dark and gnarled thing. And it has its claws around my heart.

Trilogy Order:

This is the second book in The Society Trilogy so make sure you have read the first one. If you have, then you know we were left with that hella cliffy. Ivy was taken right as Santi was down. So we pick up in book two with Ivy being wherever she is taken to. And it is NOT pretty. But never fear, Santi is almost the devil himself and death wants nothing to do with him. Now we know that Ivy wasn't the one who poisoned Santi but he doesn't know that. The betrayal he feels from her. And yet, he can't deny that there are more feelings there too. So again, we have some intense, dark AF moments. Poor, poor Ivy. Then of course, we have another ending that is leaving us with our jaws hanging open, screaming at our reading device that oh hell no that can NOT be where these two authors are leaving us. AGAIN!! They are just as torturous and Santi is and we love it just as much as Ivy does.

Y'all, I just love everything about this series.  Santi and Ivy are freaking amazing. Their relationship is so full of drama, angst, love and hate. Just when you think things are going one way, some crazy sh*t happens and the darkness comes even harder in Santi. I'll tell you, that freaking Society is something else. They DO NOT PLAY. But the more we learn as the series goes on, the more I question some of the things we "thought" we knew. These two authors have done an excellent job of keeping me on my toes.

Like the first book, this is told in both Santi and Ivy's POV. There are some seriously sexy moments and some dark moments that might make you cringe a little. Just like the first book, I was up way too late at night reading. Even coming out of my book slump, I've had a hard time really being invested in books. I've just read when it was my normal I'm gonna read time. So having a book that finally makes me go "just one more chapter" several times over is freaking fantastic. Now I'll just be biting my nails and waiting on the next book to come out. I'm ready to see how this story ends and see what Ivy and Santi's happy ending looks like.
