Ruthless Traitor by Heather Long

At the heart of it all was a secret and a lie. A secret we didn’t tell her. A lie we told ourselves. Emersyn Sharpe is more than just the girl we watched over. She’s very much the woman who fits us. The last thing we should have done was take her and the worst thing we did was keep her, but she needs us. I think, more than one of us—myself included—needs her. The secret wasn’t ours to share and the lie? I bought into the lie that keeping her was saving her. The lie that persuading her to trust us was needed. The lie that falling in love with her was as natural as breathing. It didn’t matter if I wasn’t alone in falling into this trap. It mattered that when the trap closed, it put her on one side and us on the other. Damn and we were so close too… My name is Vaughn Westbrook and I’ll be damned if I give up now. RUTHLESS TRAITOR is a full length mature college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book three in the series.

Savage Vandal
Dirty Devil 2/15/22

This is the third book in the 82 Street Vandals series and they must be read in order. Book three picks up where book two left off, with Milo out of jail and the big reveal of just who Milo is. Talk about a jaw dropping ending we were left on. So now we have to deal with what this truth means for everyone and how Emersyn handles it all. Which isn't good to say the least. Can you really blame her though. If what Milo says is true, then her whole life has been nothing but one giant, painful, unnecessary lie. Especially when she has finally found a place where she feels comfortable. When she's finally connecting to the guys. Milo is obviously not happy about that part either. So much so, he sends her away. Don't fret though, she doesn't go too far.

Again with this book we have the snippits of their past lives. A like to think of them as little bread crumbs helping us along the way. It's so interesting to find out how everyone came to be and why they are the way they are. They say your past defines you and in some ways it does. We get to see that. We also get to see them choose their own roles.

One thing I can say about Emersyn Sharpe, she is nobody's dainty little princess. She may have been thrown into a whole new world when these guys showed up but she is NOT letting anyone push her around. Least of all Milo. She gives it just as good as he does and I think he has finally met his match in her. How freaking perfect right?

We do get some of all of the guys but honestly for me, Liam stole the show. He tries so hard to ride that line between two worlds and he fights so hard to resist Hellspawn. You can tell he wants to do "the right thing". Spending time with him and seeing how he is with Emersyn gives you a whole new look at him. Then we, again, have an ending that just breaks your heart. A moment filled with so much emotion. So much heartache. Ugh just kill me. Then, THEN, I read the blurb for the next book and I really about died.

This series has definitely jumped to the top of my favorites list. Heather does a great job of grabbing your attention and twisting all of your emotions up. The way that little things just click into place throughout the series. Little bits revealed here and there that lead to a bigger picture. I can't wait to see what she is going to throw at us next.

Taking a Break

Taking a break Hello! I randomly decided to come on here today and it looks like someone actually does visit this site on occasion. I feel like I owe it to you to let you know that I won't be posting any new reviews for a while. I've been really burnt out on reading for a while now and while I do still read every now and again, I just don't have the same passion about it. When I write a review for the blog, I feel it has to be more in depth and informative and I just don't have that in me right now. Also, the book world just disappoints me sometimes and I don't feel like I'm in the head space to give it my all. Anywho, if you are reading this, thank you for being around and supporting me for however long you've been here. I appreciate you. Maybe one day I will get back into it and start reading and reviewing again. In the meantime, I do still review the books I read on Amazon and Goodreads .

Reckless Thief by Heather Long

Reckless Thief, (82 Street Vandals) Heather Long ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon / Goodreads Blurb: The mentor. The doctor. The Vandal. I grew up on the streets despite my older sister’s best efforts to keep my nose clean. I thought I knew better. I worked hard. and made money. Who cared if what I did was a little illegal? Then a little boy paid the price for my carelessness. A little boy and his baby sister. It was the wakeup call I needed, even if the cost came too high. Rough choices made for rough outcomes and when I had the chance to join the military or go to jail to get straight, I went to the military. I paid for my thoughtless actions by becoming deliberate. I paid for my greed by offering service. I paid for my chance at a better life with blood, sweat, and fire. That service left me scarred but determined. Medical school and training taught me I could continue to serve. I walked away from the streets, from the blood, the violence, and costs of doing business. Living a life I ...
