Series
Love Starves is the second book in the Antilove Bookclub series. Each book is about a different romantic group so you don't have to have read the first one but I suggest you do. I really enjoy the whole premise of this series. Women who have had a reason to not romanticize love. Who can come together for their bookclub but help each other in life. It's just such a lovely concept.
So this book is about Blythe and she was really hard for me to like. Once you get further in the book you do understand her reasons. There were still some things that she did that I just found a hard time getting over. I do feel for her though and the hand she has been dealt in life. She uses being a massive B to protect herself and push people away. I was really ok with that. It was more of the "rules" that she broke, one in particular, that I had an issue with.
Overall though I did enjoy the story. The guys were great. Such a mix of characters and I feel like their pasts were very interesting as well. I connected with them more than with Blythe. The guys went above and beyond.
So yes, this wasn't my favorite book by Brandy but that's on me. I just didn't like Blythe. I think Brandy did a great job with the writing. I still love the book club and I will still be reading future books to see what happens with the rest of the group.
