Pretty Secrets by E.M. Moore

Pretty Secrets, (Pretty Little Dead Girl)
E.M. Moore
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Blurb:
Pledging the most powerful secret society in the world was always going to be difficult. Their Trials are legendary. Dangerous. Testing candidates in ways no one imagines. But what I don’t count on is being grouped together with three men who might hinder my real purpose. The tatted, reckless “black sheep” would rather ruin me than build me up. The royal bad boy’s stalker-like obsession knows no bounds. Then there’s my gorgeous Economics professor who’s perfect on the outside but rotten in the middle. Who would’ve thought the biggest test of all was going to be staying away from them? I can’t trust them with my secret though. They’re part of the same social elite that I despise. They’re tethered to the organization I plan to destroy. However, my body and my brain aren’t always on the same page. If they strip me down to uncover my truths, I’ll be the next tragic headline. No one crosses the Knights and lives. ♥♥♥ PRETTY SECRETS is the first book in a dark college RH romance series with a secret society, rich, powerful men, and a strong heroine on a desperate mission.

Series
Hush, Hush Prequel

This is why E.M. is one of my favorite authors. I don't know if I want to hug her or hit her. Hug her b/c of this brilliant story she brought us or hit her b/c she left us like that AGAIN!!!! Like what the actual fuck? These damn endings!

Ok so Pretty Secrets in the first book in the Pretty Little Dead girls series but there was a prequel, Hush Hush. I highly suggest you read Hush, Hush. If you haven't you should probably stop reading this b/c I'm about to spoil it for you. Last chance. Ok here we go. In Hush, Hush we met Dee and learned about the world of the Knights. And those bastards killed her. So now with Pretty Secrets we have Dee's twin sister Eden. She knows some hinky shit went down with her sisters death and she wants to find out the truth. Even if that means putting herself in the same dangers that her sister did. So off to school she goes to try and join the Kights too. Well the Knights aren't stupid, completely, and they are suspicious of her. So they use the guise of not wanting another "tragedy" to happen to assign babysitters to the female pledges this time. That's how Eden ends up with not only her best friend Oliver but Leo and Alaric as well.

So Oliver is her British best friend who is so in love with her. I adore him. He is just everything. He's known Eden forever and he will do anything for her. Even if it's breaking his own heart in the process. Alaric is ok so far. He has some secrets he is hiding and I'm dying to figure them out but I feel like he's going to turn out to be a good guy after all. Then there is Leo. This boy comes with his own trauma and even though he is a total ass, I feel for him. I want to believe that when push comes to shove he will make the right choice but we will just have to wait and see.

So this book will grip you from the very first sentence and keep you until you are screaming at that 'why did you do this to me again' ending. There is sooooo much going on. Dark secret society, murder mystery, sexual tension off the charts, plot twists galore. Get ready to jump in and not come up for air until you are done. Then curse E.M. for making you wait for the next one.

Kingdom Fall, A Zavarelli

Kingdom Fall, (Underworld Kings) A Zavarelli ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon / Goodreads Blurb: I was a nanny in need of a job. He was darkness personified. I had little to call my own. He was filthy rich, powerful, and dangerous. The assignment was simple, and my goal was too. Take care of his son. Keep my head down. When he least expects it, destroy him. It should have been easy. I thought it would be until I looked into his stark blue eyes. Kissing the enemy is a bad idea, but so is falling in love with him. He doesn’t know my crumbling foundation is built on lies. When he discovers the truth, I’ll find out if he’s as brutal as I believe. I came here to steal his life. I didn’t count on him stealing my heart. Kingdom Fall is part of the Underworld Kings series. If you read the Society Trilogy then you already know a little about the world this series is set in but you don't have to read that trilogy to read this book. In this book we have Alessio and Natalia. Alessio is a Sovereign Son in IVI....

Taking a Break

Taking a break Hello! I randomly decided to come on here today and it looks like someone actually does visit this site on occasion. I feel like I owe it to you to let you know that I won't be posting any new reviews for a while. I've been really burnt out on reading for a while now and while I do still read every now and again, I just don't have the same passion about it. When I write a review for the blog, I feel it has to be more in depth and informative and I just don't have that in me right now. Also, the book world just disappoints me sometimes and I don't feel like I'm in the head space to give it my all. Anywho, if you are reading this, thank you for being around and supporting me for however long you've been here. I appreciate you. Maybe one day I will get back into it and start reading and reviewing again. In the meantime, I do still review the books I read on Amazon and Goodreads .

Vengeful Rotten Casualties by Lucy Smoke

Vengeful Rotten Casualties, (Sick Boys) Lucy Smoke ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon / Goodreads I sold my soul to the devil only to turn around and slit his throat… Thomas Kincaid took everything from me. My mother. My hopes. My innocence. Now, it’s my turn. He thought he was safe. They all did. They were wrong. Men always think they can take without ever having to deal with the consequences. Well, now I’m back, and I'm the last consequence they’ll ever see. *This is a dark romance, and contains dark and very taboo themes which some readers may find uncomfortable or upsetting such as but not limited to SA, murder, violence, child abuse, sexual slavery, misuse of the law, drug use etc. If you do not enjoy these themes, or have triggers, please do not read.
