Blurb:
It will end the same way it started … with death. Clover I gave Braxton Smalls everything. I sacrificed myself and all I ended up with was a broken heart and a shattered soul. Now, I’ve got bigger things to worry about than an angry Eastpoint Heir hot on my trail. Brax may be the psycho who kidnapped me–but he’s nothing compared to the organization my brother works for. And me? I’m the monster ready to wreck them all. Braxton I live for vengeance. That's all I know, all I see. Until her. Until Clover La Roux. No … until Evgenia Volkov. Daughter of a Russian mobster. Sister to the man who tortured one of my best friends. The only woman to ever satisfy the cruel desires inside of me. Whoever took her will pay with their lives. And once I have her back, I’ll make sure she can never leave me again. Consequences be damned.

Bloody Cruel Monster is the sixth book in the Sick Boys series and the second half of Brax and Clover's story. You don't have to have read the first four books but I highly recommend it b/c they are all amazing. You do absolutely have to have read Bloody Cruel Psycho though.

So in BCM, we pick up where we left off in BCP. Brax is on a mission to get back what is his. He underestimates our little Clover though. She doesn't need someone to come save her. The only thing she has ever NEEDED was someone to choose her. Brax however, is set on finding and saving her. The only way he can do this, is to turn to someone he never wanted to rely on. Brax has to set his ego and his own personal feelings aside to save the one he loves.

There are so many things I want to say about this book. So many amazing moments that happened. As always though I don't want to spoil anything. I will say that Lucy, as always, has done an amazing job. These two characters are such a hot mess of dark and twistiness. To be able to make us love them and to bring them together is magic. It's not always about "fixing" someone. Sometimes it's about accepting the darkness within you and knowing that you are still loved. That's what these two do for each other and it's absolutely beautiful.

Now it's for sure a bloody, twisted, dark ride. The obstacles these characters face are never easy. It was an amazing ride though. I love being inside their heads and learning all the things. Especially Brax. He is by far my favorite Sick Boy.

Then the ending. Yes this was the conclusion of Brax and Clover's story but that doesn't mean we got an ending to feel warm and fuzzy about. Our dear Lucy wouldn't let us off that easy. She's got us already chomping at the bit for the next book in the series. It's gonna be a hot one for sure!

Ruining Dahlia, (Mafia Wars) C.R. Jane ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon / Goodreads Blurb: I was sold to my enemies. And not just my enemies. I was sold to monsters. I should know all about how to survive monsters though, I come from a family of them. We aren't Butchers in name only, and surely the Rossi family can’t be as bad as the devil that’s been destroying me since I was eight years old. New York City, the powerful head of the Cosa Nostra, is my new home. Where Lucian, Raphael, and Gabriel Rossi now think they own me. The thing they don't realize is that I'm more than what I seem. A dahlia has always bloomed best in the light, and even though everything about this place and these men is shrouded in darkness, I’m determined to thrive…to win.
