Blurb:
Enrollment begins this autumn.
Born into Hollywood royalty, I’ve been making the hot sheet and generating internet buzz since before I could even walk. Doesn’t matter that my parents divorced prior to my second birthday, I can’t escape the shadows—or scandals—of my movie star mother and my rock star father.
At least, I couldn’t until Aubrey, Yvette and I formed Torched and went double platinum as we made a name for ourselves. Four years after taking the world by storm, I’m exhausted. We all are. I’m also ready to try and be a regular kid. Only problem is I’ve never been normal. I don’t actually know what that feels like. Accepted into the prestigious Blue Ivy Prep, I have a lot to prove to the students, the faculty, our fans, but most of all to myself.
Despite my tabloid reputation or maybe because of it, I don’t intend for anything to get in my way. Especially not anyone who decided I’m an empty-headed pampered partying princess before I even showed up. If they want a fight, I’ll bring them a war.
*Please note this is a reverse harem and the author suggests you always read the forward in her books. Contains some bullying elements, mature situations, and is recommended for 17+. This is the first in a series and the story will continue through future books.
Problem Child
Mad Boys 3/14/23
Problem Child is the first book in the new Blue Ivy Prep series. It is a slow burn whychoose romance. Our female lead is Kaitlin Crosse (KC) whom we have met before in the Untouchable series. However, you do not have to have read Frankie's story to follow along with KC's story. We spend this first book getting to know KC and this new world of Blue Ivy Prep.
I have to say that KC is not at all what I thought she would be. She of course is a rock star and with that comes the preconceived notions people have about her. KC never lets that stop her though. She knows the truth and she keeps on rocking along. Now in this first book it is just in the POV of KC. I was a little disappointed when I read that in the forward of the book but I absolutely understand why it was done that way. We have a few potential love interests and it's not clear who will make the cut. While I absolutely have opinions on a certain man, I'm gonna keep them to myself at this point b/c I don't want to spoil anything or influence your opinion.
Now when we get to the end of the first book, there was one little twist I thought could possibly happen. It was sitting in the back of my mind so I wasn't completely thrown for a loop. But that ending! DID NOT SEE THAT AT ALL!!!!! I was like jaw dropped, total WTF moment.
So over all, Heather did an outstanding job with this new series. I'm fully invested in KC and her story. I can't wait to see what happens after that bomb drop of and ending and I'm so excited to get the guys POV in the next story. Oh and just to make it known, this is a slow burn! Don't go into this expecting to be getting down and dirty. Enjoy the pleasant ride of falling in love.
